Clothing is a protective shield for our bodies. We wear clothing (often called active wear) to protect us from major weather elements such as the wind, rain, snow and sun. We need this type of protection through clothing because skin is the largest organ of our bodies and human skin is very sensitive to harsh elements. We know this because if we’re exposed to the elements without our protective clothing, we’ll catch a cold, flu, or some other illness.
