Pets and the Owners Who Love to Dress Them

Pet owners love their pets. They feed them and take them to the Veterinarian when they get sick. Pets become such a major part of the family that they are treated like family members; they even have pet insurance. Some owners treat their pets like babies, letting them sleep in their bedrooms, on their beds, cuddle them, kiss them and hold them constantly. Pets will let you know they love the attention.

Attention Getters

People love attention and their pets are no exception. If you don’t believe this, try giving someone else attention while your pet is present. If it’s a dog, he will bark and jump up for it, if a cat, she will purr and pounce around.

Pets will get your attention in one of the best ways possible: when a stranger or danger is near. Dogs bark, cats may run around and meow and birds chirp all in an unusual fashion to let you know you’re in danger. So not only do our pets give us joy and happiness when we see them, they also protect us in dangerous situations. But is there such a thing as too much love?

Pet Houses

The times of the snoopy dog houses seems a rarity. People are going the extra mile these days by buying their dogs homes that are insulated with cedar wood, heating, and air conditioning. There are also selections of wood-paneled, rock, stone, or brick siding.

Cats also have the option of living in a ‘cat condo’ or playing in a ‘cat post’ with plenty of scratching room made with plush carpet to fit the curves of the post. They can also be built window height for the cats easy access to the outdoors.

Pets now travel in style in luxurious totes, designer airline approved travel bags that can be tailored to fit your pets size. These totes come with extra padded bottoms and insides for pets protection, reinforced zippers, inside leash rings, and washable liner.

Birds are not left out as they have a variety of cages to fit almost any pet bird. There are stainless steel cages, aviaries, stackable breeder cages for flocking together and mating. Also, small and medium bird cages for Love Birds, Cockatiels, Parakeets, Senegals, and Lories. Now that they have loving owners and a great house to play in, what will they wear?

Pet Dress-Up

Children like to play dress up in their parents clothing and jewelry or costumes. They like to play ‘house’ and pretend that they are taking care of children and the household. They may dress up baby dolls and venture to dressing their pets.

Dressing pets, however, spills over into adulthood for some. People have the innate desire to feel needed but to also take care of others. Some feel this need is fulfilled when they have a child. For those who don’t have a child, they tend to put more attention toward their pets. Paris Hilton brought pet dressing back into the spotlight as she is often seen with her Yorkshire Terrier and a female Chihuahua

Instead of going shopping for children’s clothing, they shop for their pets. There is more on the market today when it comes to pet clothes than the old ’spiked dog collar’. There are dog jackets, personalized dog collars, hats, shorts, pants, sweaters, shoes, dresses, swim wear, diapers, and more.

When it comes to dressing your pets, ‘to each his own’. If you feel a need to put your pet in tiny little outfits or an outfit matching yours, it’s your decision. It may not be to the liking of some, but no one can deny the attention you and your pet get when dressed in their darling little attire.
